In coordination with the Chaplaincy of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, the Metropolis of Chicago, through the efforts of Bishop Demetrios of Mokissos, recently donated a number of copies of the recently released New Testament & Psalms for Orthodox Christians -- Military Edition to be distributed to Orthodox soldiers stationed at Fort Bragg. Fort Bragg, NC, is the largest military installation in the world. There are currently over 550 Orthodox soldiers and families living on post. Caring for our Orthodox service men and women has a long tradition in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, who distributed Orthodox prayer books during the second World War. These new efforts follow in this venerable tradition of seeking to offer comfort and resources to our brave service men and women who defend freedom with honor and distinction.
