BISHOP DEMETRIOS OF MOKISSOS CELEBRATES THE NAMEDAY OF ST ANDREW THE APOSTLE WITH THE METROPOLIS OF CHICAGO ARCHONS

ARCHON JOHN MANGOURAS GIVES KEYNOTE ADDRESS

CHICAGO, IL: His Grace Bishop Demetrios of Mokissos officiated Vesper and Divine Liturgy Services for St Andrew the Apostle at Chicago's St Andrew's Greek Orthodox Church, joined at both events by the Metropolis of Chicago Archons and many members of the Clergy. Strong crowds warmly welcomed His Grace Bishop Demetrios, the visiting members of the Clergy and the strong gathering of Metropolis of Chicago Archons for both services.
Following the tradition established by Metropolitan Iakovos of Blessed Memory, a member of the Archons was asked to make a presentation on St Andrew the Apostle. This year Archon John Mangouras of Sts Kosmas & Damianos Greek Orthodox Church in Rochester, Minnesota, was given the honor and delivered a passionate presentation on the influence of St Andrew’s teachings today.
