Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago Welcomes 2019 Summer Interns

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL, July 9, 2019 – The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago announced today the appointment of three interns, Justin Glavanovits, Christina Pappas and Christophilos Theodosis, to support Metropolis daily operations over of the summer.

“The Metropolis of Chicago is pleased to welcome these high performing young adults as our summer interns. Beyond their skills and experiences, we are blessed that our interns possess both the ability to lead by example and the desire to serve—some of the key qualities our Church needs in order to grow and thrive,” His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael said.

Justin Glavanovits, 26, is a recent graduate of the Hellenic College Holy Cross class of 2019 with a degree in political science on the pre-law track. Justin has been involved in many different youth programs, including Ionian Village, Metropolis of Boston Winter Camp, and Fanari. Upon completion of his internship, Justin will begin working at the Ascension of Our Lord Greek Orthodox Church in Lincolnshire, IL as the Pastoral Assistant and Youth Advisor. Justin’s energies will be devoted the Programming Team of Fanari camp throughout this internship.

Christina Pappas, 20, attends the University of Iowa where she is an accounting major. She is a parishioner of Saints Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Glenview. Through her position of Office Administrative Assistant, Christina will maintain Metropolis affairs with her operations and IT skills and track record.

Christophilos Theodosis, 20, attends Northwestern University where he is pursuing a classics major and chemistry minor. Theodosis is on the pre-law track and plans to attend law school in the fall of 2021. He is a parishioner of Annunciation Cathedral in Chicago. Chris is involved with a number of projects involving internal communications, social media and digital marketing.
