Dr. Perry Hamalis\, co-author of For the Life of the World \nFor the Life of the World: Towards a Social Ethos of the Orthodox Church is a powerful social document enriched by scriptural\, patristic\, theological\, and spiritual references\, to navigate through these often perplexing and difficult times\, as Orthodox Christians\, in a post-modern world. This document was composed by a special commission of Orthodox scholars appointed by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and blessed for publication by the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. It is a continuation of the work of the historic Great and Holy Council of Crete in 2016.  \nAbout Deacon Perry:  Rev. Dr. Perry Hamalis is the Cecelia Schneller Mueller Professor of Religion at North Central College (Naperville\, IL ). He earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Boston College\, an M.Div. from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology (valedictorian)\, and a Ph.D. in Religious Ethics from the University of Chicago. At North Central College\, he teaches courses in Christian Ethics\, Philosophical Ethics\, Religion and Politics\, and related topics. Fr.
