The retreat will include two day-long sessions\, one in June and one in August. \nThe June session will focus on strategies to strengthen your practice of sermon preparation\, emphasizing an approach that integrates preaching with the ongoing spiritual life. Additionally\, we will discuss biblical and rhetorical foundations for effective preaching. This first session will also include in-depth discussion on how to effectively solicit quality feedback from your hearers to better ensure that the sermon makes possible a transformative encounter with Jesus Christ. \nThe second session at the end of the summer will be an opportunity for us to come together to reflect on the strategies learned during the first session and to report on the lessons that we have learned by employing the strategies addressed in the first session. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLodging Information: \nRegistrants are responsible for booking their own lodging.
