The Strengthen Stewardship Now & Forever team of the Metropolis of Chicago offers a mix of presentation and questions for reflection, with a focus on practical application for parishes.

Stacey Stathulis & Father Jim Kordaris will make a presentation on Planned Giving  in your parish. At this summer’s Clergy-Laity Congress, one of the most attended (350+ people) workshops covered the topic of planned giving – a natural extension of stewardship – and the opportunity it presents your parish.

Consider:

• An estimated 4.5 percent of Americans have a will. That means 95.5 percent do not, which presents a substantial opportunity for every parish
• 67 percent of parishioners don’t understand the meaning of planned giving, which presents a tremendous educational opportunity
• An estimated $68 trillion in wealth will be transferred within the next 25 years; $30 trillion from Baby Boomers (1944-1964) in the coming years; the opportunity is self-evident

This is also a chance to learn what resources the GOA has planned to mobilize in 2023 and beyond.
