Ephraim Peters\, an inspirational retreat leader who together with his wife\, Presbytera Teresa\, has raised two sons with autism who are now in their 30s. Fr. Ephraim will lead two sessions with adults relating to the following themes: \n\nMaintaining an eternal perspective in the face of the unfairness and inequities our children are confronted with\nDeveloping faith-based strategies that bridge the transition from childhood to supporting adult children with physical\, intellectual\, emotional and sensory disabilities.\nRecognizing the emotional and spiritual impact on parents. Establishing skills for balancing advocacy and nurturing of our children with the need for self-care as individuals and in the marriage.\n\nChildren and Adults with Disabilities will have one-on-one support to engage in programming that will include music\, art\, movement\, and lesson. Dinner will be provided. \nThis event is provided without a cost to participants\, thanks to generous support from the Hellenic Foundation.

DESCRIPTION:St. Andrew 2022 Lenten Lectures\nAnne & Theodore Philips Lecture Series \nLent affords all Orthodox Christians a time of reflection and spiritual strengthening with increased fasting\, prayer\, and services as we move towards the Passion and glorious\, saving Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. Each Wednesday evening during Great and Holy Lent we will be offering edifying lectures at St. Andrew. These Lectures will take place after the Pre-Sanctified Liturgy and meal provided by one of our many wonderful Ministries \nPre-Sanctified Liturgy begins at 6:00 p.m. Dinner followed by presentation 7:15 p.m. \nPlease call the Church Office to RSVP (773) 334-4515
