Event proceeds will benefit the Metropolis of Chicago Philoptochos Philanthropy Fund.The Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society\, Inc.\, is the duly accredited women’s philanthropic society of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. The mission of the Society shall be: \n\nTo help the poor\, the destitute\, the hungry\, the aged\, the sick\, the unemployed\, the orphaned\, the imprisoned\, the widowed\, the handicapped\, the victims of disasters\, to undertake the burial of impoverished persons and to offer assistance to anyone who may need the help of the Church through fund raising efforts; and\nTo promote the charitable\, benevolent\, and philanthropic purposes of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America\, through instructional programs\, presentations\, lectures\, seminars and other educational resources;\nTo preserve and perpetuate Orthodox Christian concepts and the Orthodox Christian Family\, and through them\, to promote the Greek Orthodox Faith and traditions\, in accordance with its doctrines\, canons\, discipline\, divine worship\, usages and customs;\nTo promote participation in the activities of the Greek Orthodox community\, with the cooperation of the Parish Priest and the Parish Council.\n\nThe charitable work of the Society shall be performed with discretion\, courtesy and kindness. \n Register here to see the clergy in the kitchen on June 20!

SUMMARY:Lighthouse Camp
DESCRIPTION:When young people make the transition to college life\, they face a myriad of spiritual\, social\, mental and health related challenges. Lighthouse is a summer camp ministry of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago designed to walk high school seniors through an Orthodox understanding of vocation\, and arm them with the tools they need to hold fast to their faith during their college years. Camp begins this summer on June 26\, 2021 at Marquette University in Milwaukee\, WI. \nRegistration for Lighthouse opens on February 17\, 2021. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a softball tournament for young adults (ages 18 – 30) at SS. Constantine & Helen in Palos Hills\, Illinois! It will take place every weekend starting June 27th thru August 1st during the afternoons/evenings. \nIf your team is signed up by June 14th your team will pay $450\, if you are signed up by the 20th it is $500. \nPlayers must sign up with their parish team to participate.
