Feast-day Celebrations in honor of Saint Anthony the Great Monday,

January 16 and Tuesday, January 17, 2017

(Chicago) – The annual Celebration of the Feast Day of Saint Anthony the Great at the Saint Anthony Chapel of the Metropolis Home will be held at 40 East Burton Place in Chicago. His Eminence, Metropolitan Iakovos of Chicago will preside over the celebration of the Great Vesper Service on Monday evening, January 16th beginning at 7 PM. His Grace, Bishop Demetrios of Mokissos, Chancellor of the Holy Metropolis of Chicago, will preside over the celebration of the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. On Tuesday, Orthos Service will begin at 9 am, with the celebration of the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy immediately following. The clergy, chanters and faithful of the Holy Metropolis of Chicago are invited and encouraged to join in these celebrations.

The Metropolis of Chicago Philoptochos Society Board will be hosting a Fellowship Reception following the Great Vesper Service on the evening of Monday, January 16, 2017. The Laconia Ladies Benevolent Society, as they have for many years, will host a reception following the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy on Tuesday. All are welcome and encouraged to prayerfully attend these magnificent Feast Day celebrations.
