My Beloved,

In one week since the COVID-19 Parish Relief Fund appeal began, a total of $59,801 has been donated to support parishes most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the greatest expressions of devotion to Christ, as well as to our fellow brothers and sisters, is to give freely even in and especially during a time of great uncertainty.

Many servants of God from throughout the Metropolis have stepped forward and given freely to support our parishes:

Major Gift Donors

Holy Taxiarhai and Saint Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church (Niles, IL)

$25,000

Anonymous Donor

$15,000

St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church (Minneapolis, MN)

$10,000

Individual Donors

$9,801

Sadly, the COVID-19 pandemic has impaired the fundraising ability of our parishes and their ability to minister to those in need. All donations to the COVID-19 Parish Relief Fund will flow directly to parishes who are serving parishioners in need.

With such a great challenge before us, the Metropolis of Chicago is truly blessed and humbled by the selfless acts of those who stepped forward to support our parishes. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Kali Anastasi!

With gratitude and high esteem,

+Metropolitan Nathanael
