For Immediate Release
Metropolis of Chicago to Relocate Main Offices To Temporary Location
CHICAGO, January 25, 2019 – The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago announced today its plan to move its operations to a temporary location at 1301 Estes Avenue in Elk Grove Village. The process will begin today and is expected to be completed by January 28.
“While considering the future of our community, it was concluded that the Metropolis needs office space, with ample parking, that meets today’s professional standards; makes itself more accessible to people, including those with physical challenges; and fosters greater collaboration between the clergy and the laity. In the final analysis, this move helps us address our immediate needs and allows us to prepare a sound future for the Metropolis,” His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael said.
Through the generous donation of the Parthenis Families, the Metropolis will operate in an office space that is being provided rent-free.
“I am truly grateful to the Parthenis Families, not only for their gift to the Metropolis, but also for investing in the future of our Church, a future dedicated to supporting the vital efforts of our parishes and to providing a dynamic and loving Orthodox Christian witness to all people,” His Eminence said.
