Metropolis of Chicago Welcomes Three New Archons

The Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in America hosted their annual Archon Weekend on October 19-22 in New York. On Sunday, October 22, at the conclusion of Divine Liturgy at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, the Archon Class of 2023 was invested and presented with their Offikia and Cross of Saint Andrew.

During the event, three new Archons from the Metropolis of Chicago were invested. We would like to congratulate our newest Archons representing the Metropolis of Chicago:

  • Louis Apostol, Esq., Nomophylax
  • Michael Bousis, Depotatos
  • Peter Panton, MD, Chartoularios

Archons are honorees by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for their outstanding service to the Church, and are well-known, distinguished, and well-respected leaders of the Orthodox Christian community. Those selected to serve as Archons have demonstrated a commitment greater than average toward the stewardship of time, talent and treasure for the betterment of the Church, Parish, Diocese/Metropolis, Archdiocese and the community as a whole.

AXIOS!
