Archon Dr. Peter Panton, Rev. Fr. Apostolos N. Georgiafentis, Christen Massouras, Archon Regional Commander John G. Manos, Archon Hon. Jeffery Chrones, and Archon James Lakerdas, Esq.

On Sunday, March 24, 2024, the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the Metropolis of Chicago held a Pilgrimage of Discovery (POD) presentation in St. Catherine’s Chapel following Divine Liturgy at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago. During the event, the Archons discussed the 2023 POD Program that is sponsored by the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in America and included an all-expenses paid trip to Constantinople and an audience with His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for five young adults from the Metropolis of Chicago.  

POD Ambassador Christen Massouras of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago joined Archon Regional Commander John G. Manos, Archon Hon. Jeffery Chrones, Archon James Lakerdas, Esq., Archon Theodore Sepsis, and Archon Dr. Peter Panton. Attendees listened to an Archon presentation on the five key issues facing the Ecumenical Patriarchate by Archon Chrones and Regional Commander Manos. In addition, POD Ambassador Christen Massouras spoke about her experiences during the Pilgrimage of Discovery while showing a PowerPoint Archon presentation of the trip. 

The 2024 Pilgrimage of Discovery trip, an all-expense paid journey through Constantinople for up to seven young adults, will take place from August 4-11. For more information visit https://www.pilgrimageofdiscovery.org/. The deadline to apply for this year’s trip was March 29.
