Lombard, IL, September 21, 2023, For the fourth consecutive year, the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago has received an unqualified, or “clean,” audit opinion of its 2022 consolidated financial statements.

The audit was conducted by the independent accounting firm of Miller Cooper & Co, Ltd. for the Metropolis of Chicago, the St. Iakovos Retreat Center, and the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago Foundation for their 2022 financial statements.

“Today, transparent and responsible financial practices are routine and expected at the Metropolis of Chicago. This is not only a signal of a healthy organization, but also the preconditions necessary for the long-term growth of the Church in the Midwest. I’m truly grateful to our team of volunteer leaders and staff members who take their work seriously and give their time and talent to the Church selflessly,” said His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael.

The consolidated audit reports for the Metropolis of Chicago, the St. Iakovos Retreat Center, and the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago Foundation can be accessed HERE.
