The Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in America held a religious freedom presentation on Wednesday, March 26, at St. Spyridon Hellenic Orthodox Church, in Palos Heights, Illinois. Metropolis of Chicago Archon Regional Commander John G. Manos introduced keynote speakers Archons Dr. John Fotopoulos and Hon. Anthony C. Kyriakopoulos, who spoke on the five key issues impacting the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

Archons John Hilaris, Dean Maragos, Esq., Theodore Sepsis, and Wesley Stinich were also present. The event, which followed Presanctified Liturgy, was attended by parishioners, catechumens and students from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights.

Thank you to parish priest Rev. Father George Lamberis, Presvytera Diana, the parish council, and the teachers and families of Plutarchos Greek School and Archangels Academy Preschool for hosting the event and providing a potluck dinner after the presentation.

The Archons encourage parishes within the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America that would like to have a religious freedom presentation held at their parish to email the Archon National Office at lkats@archons.org. The Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate is a devoted group of passionate leaders, relentlessly focused on protecting religious freedom for everyone and ensuring the future of the Ecumenical Patriarchate — the historical spiritual center of the world’s 300+ million Orthodox Christians.
