On Saturday, November 29, 2025, Archons in the Metropolis of Chicago attended the Vespers Service of the Feast Day of Saint Andrew the Apostle, their Patron Saint, at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago. Artoklasia—the Blessing of the Five Loaves—was also offered for this major Feast Day.

As per the Archons’ annual tradition, after the Service newly invested Archon Paul G. Loupakos, Chartophylax, spoke to the congregation about what it means to be an Archon.

A special thank you to Rev. Fr. Kosmas Kallis and the St. Andrew Philoptochos for hosting refreshments after the service to the entire community.

In addition to the local observance, Archon National Secretary and Regional Commander Gus M. Pablecas and Archon Regional Commander Perry S. Siatis, Esq., together with Archons Dr. George Bovis and Yanni Sianis, attended the Ecumenical Patriarch’s celebration for the Feast Day of St. Andrew with His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and Pope Leo XIV at the Saint George Cathedral as part of an Archon pilgrimage to the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople, which included a visit to Nicaea to observe the 1,700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council.
