The annual Lake County Greek Fest takes place on Friday, July 10, Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12 on the grounds of Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Libertyville.  Greek Fest will be open each day from 11 AM until 9 PM.

The event will be held on the church grounds on O’Plaine Road, south of Route 120 (Belvidere Road) and north of Route 137 (Buckley Road).  The beautiful golden dome of the eighteen-year-old church can be seen from the I-94 Tollway.  Visitors will be able to tour the beautiful Fifth Century design Byzantine church with the pastor, Father Thomas Alatzakis.

Come for the Greek food including Lamb, Souvlakia (shish kebab), Athenian chicken, Gyros, Spanakopita (spinach pie), and more!  There will also be delicious Greek pastries, Greek music and dancing!

Special musical act for Friday night will be the classic rock & soul cover band, Class of 68, which will be appearing from 6 pm to 9 pm.

St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church is located at 1400 North O’Plaine Road, Libertyville, IL (between Rt.120 & Rt.137).  There is no admission to the event and FREE parking will be available on-site.
