Back to Servant Leadership Award Recipients

From the young age of 7, Becky Greanias Lagouros was involved in supporting and volunteering for her home parish of Annunciation in Decatur, Illinois, and grew to love the feeling of being part of something big. Working to help the parish always brought her family together, and her father’s efforts made a lasting impression on her. As an adult , Becky’s sons motivated her to help support their interests. Now adults, she believes she helped spark their desire to volunteer and give of their time and treasure to help others less fortunate. Becky’s volunteer efforts are numerous: from church, to the Peoria community, to school activities, as well as fundraising for local organizations and the National Philoptochos Children’s Medical Fund through the Metropolis of Chicago. The knowledge that she has been blessed in a multitude of ways and has the ability to help others and pay it forward is why she serves her parish and community.
