Post-Pandemic: Welcoming Parishioners Back to Church

As vaccination rates increase and social distancing and mask mandates decrease across the U.S., there will be a desire to return to regular worship – this has already been evident during the Lenten season and Pascha. What does post-pandemic church look like? How do we leverage what we’ve learned during these tumultuous 14 months? What remains and what should change? These are just a few of the many questions parishes are asking.

Steve Tibbs of St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Irvine, CA has not only begun answering these questions but has created a plan for parishes that he shared with the Metropolis of Chicago. Steve is a strategic planning expert who has worked with parishes across the multiple Orthodox jurisdictions in the U.S. and currently leads the Orthodox Parish Leadership ministry for the Metropolis of San Francisco.
