Metropolis of Chicago receives clean audit opinion for 2021 financial statements

Lombard, IL, January 5, 2022. The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago today announced that it received an unqualified (clean) audit opinion of its 2021 financial statements from the independent accounting firm of Miller Cooper & Co, Ltd. This year, the audit was consolidated to include the St. Iakovos Retreat Center.

The 2021 audit opinion is the third, consecutive clean audit opinion received by the Metropolis since the enthronement of His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael.

“I am pleased that promises made for greater transparency and accountability in early 2018 – including annualized audits performed by an independent accountant – are now commonplace at the Metropolis of Chicago,” said His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael.

The annual audit reports for the Metropolis of Chicago and the St. Iakovos Retreat Center can be reviewed HERE.
