Meet the Interns

We are so excited about our Summer Internship Program where we provide students the opportunity to develop skill sets within our Youth Programming, Marketing, and Office Administration while amplifying the Metropolis of Chicago’s impact and mission. 

 

Eleni Dalianis 

Sts Constantine and Helen Wauwatosa WI

Eleni is currently a student at Concordia University where she studies Business Management. She is currently serving as the Y2AM Lighthouse Intern where she helps put together our Lighthouse camp for high school Seniors. She told us she was looking forward to her internship because she

“Enjoyed Lighthouse last year so I am looking forward to being a part of it again.”

When asked why she wanted to work with the Metropolis she said:

“One of my goals after college is to work in ministry and being able to work for the Metropolis takes me one step closer to that goal. I also really enjoy working with people who have similar worldviews.”

 

 


 

Thalia Holguin

Assumption Greek Orthodox of Chicago IL

Thalia is currently a student at the University of Arizona where she studies Psychology and Criminal Justice. She is currently serving as the Youth and Young Adult Ministries Intern. She told us she was looking forward to her internship because she is

“Looking forward to connecting with the Greek communities.”

When asked why she wanted to work with the Metropolis she responded:

“I wanted to work with the metropolis because it’s a great way to learn how their young adult events work and it’s a great opportunity to meet new people and learn some new skills.”

 

 


 

Kostatinos Kazantzis

Annunciation Cathedral Chicago IL

Kostatinos is currently a student at the Hellenic College Holy Cross where he is a Religious Studies major. He is currently serving as the Admin intern. He told us he was looking forward to his internship because he is

“Looking forward to learning what the metropolis does on a daily basis, I was so curious as to how and what the primary functions of the metropolis are. As I’ve already been here 3 weeks or so I see how busy daily ministry and how job oriented and busy it really is.”

When asked why he wanted to Intern with the Metropolis he said:

“I wanted to get hands-on experience working with whatever needed to be done, whether that be writing a letter or something as simple as answering the phone whatever the task may be large or small it’s something that I haven’t likely done. Also I really enjoy interacting with the many clergy both across our Metropolis, It is a joy.”

 

 


 

Emme Pianfetti 

Three Hierarchs Champagin IL

Emme is currently a student at the University of Illinois where she studies Marketing and information systems. She is serving as our Marketing and Communications Intern. She is looking forward to Interning because

“I am excited to learn how to create marketing content and materials that help make meaningful connections across all the Parish communities.” 

When asked why she wanted to work with the Metropolis she responded:

“I want to contribute my skills to amplify Metropolis’  message and inspire individuals to engage through compelling narratives and visuals.”
