On Sunday, May 21, 2023, Pericles C. Siatis, Esq., an Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate from the Metropolis of Chicago, gave a religious freedom presentation to youth and youth advisors at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Libertyville, Illinois.

Archon National Secretary and Archon Regional Commander Gus M. Pablecas and Archon Regional Commander John G. Manos from the Metropolis of Chicago assisted Siatis during the presentation, which focused on the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the five key issues impacting the Ecumenical Patriarchate today, and helped answer participant questions.

Archon Siatis is a vice chair of the Youth Participation Activities Committee, which was established by Archon National Headquarters to connect with youth committees and organizations throughout the United States to fulfill the following three goals:

  1. To establish regular meetings with youth and youth organizations;
  2. To help educate youth on the religious freedom challenges facing the Ecumenical Patriarchate;
  3. To instruct youth on the various initiatives undertaken by the Order of Saint Andrew to over obstacles that the Ecumenical Patriarchate faces.

Anyone interested in having the Archons give a presentation to the adults, young adults and/or youth at their local parish can email the Archon Regional Commanders at metropolischicagoarchons@gmail.com for more information.
