On January 6, 2015, the Feast of Theophany, His Grace Bishop DEMETRIOS of Mokissos celebrated the Divine Liturgy and the Blessing of Waters at Ascension of Our Lord in Lincolnshire, IL. Following the Divine Liturgy, the Blessing of Waters took place with a procession led by His Grace and assisted by Rev. Fr. Sotirios P. Malamis, Proistamenos of Ascension, and Deacon Vasilios Smith. In his sermon, His Grace drew similarities between the newness of life through the waters of the Jordan River and the new beginnings in the life of the Parish at Ascension of Our Lord.
