“The Person of Christ” video series also launches as inaugural production 

November 15, 2022, Lombard IL.  The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago announced today the creation of Living Water Productions, through which the Metropolis will produce original and engaging religious education content for all peoples, wherever they are on their faith journeys.

A broad range of high-quality, high-touch productions are envisioned under the Living Water Productions umbrella, including short videos, podcasts, animated films, and documentaries. 

“We at the Metropolis of Chicago are excited about the possibilities of Living Water and believe strongly that the timeless truth of the Christ’s teachings will quench the thirst for greater meaning, purpose, and belonging in people’s lives,” said His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael. “We also are confident that the creative and talented minds behind Living Water will make for continued engaging and enriching experiences.”  

The first Living Water production is “The Person of Christ,” a 12-episode short video series. Created and delivered by world renowned theologian, Fr. Alexis Torrance, the Archbishop Demetrios Associate Professor of Byzantine Theology at the University of Notre Dame and Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne in Constantinople, the video series offers a deeper, spiritual and intellectual understanding of Christ.

“The Person of Christ” is designed to be used in group settings, such as Bible Study groups, religious education classes and youth groups, as well as for the Orthodox Christian faithful, those wishing to convert to the faith, and those interested in deepening their understanding of Christianity.
