Lombard, IL, August 2, 2022. The Metropolis of Chicago announced today that His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael is undertaking a Multi-Source Feedback Process (“MSFP”), the first of its kind for a hierarch of the Metropolis. His Eminence is undertaking the MSFP to identify areas of strength and opportunities for his development as a leader. The Metropolitan will be actively engaged in this process, working in concert with the MSFP Steering Committee to execute the MSFP and to process the feedback received and develop customized pathways to achieve his targeted objectives. Upon His Eminence’s completion of the MSFP, the Metropolis plans to develop a program for each of the Metropolis Clergy to participate in a MSFP.
The Multi-Source Feedback Process
The MSFP is a customized process, facilitated by outside consultant Ruotolo Associates (“RA”), which utilizes various written tools as well as a self-assessment, individual interviews and electronic surveys of individuals who are in frequent professional contact with His Eminence. The utilization of outside counsel will ensure objectivity and professional standards and will invite candid and thoughtful contributions by the individuals engaged in the process. A comprehensive report and analysis are created from the feedback collected, which is used to create an action plan of leadership development and growth for the Metropolitan.
The MSFP Steering Committee
The MSFP Steering Committee has been formed to provide support, guidance, and oversight of the progress of the MSFP. The members of the MSFP Steering Committee are:

Next Steps
During the months of July and August 2022, RA will execute the feedback-collecting phase of the process, including His Eminence’s self-assessment, the electronic surveys, and interviews. At the conclusion of the feedback-collecting phase, RA will prepare a detailed report of the findings, discerning key areas of performance and areas for growth. In September 2022, a year-long Action Plan will be developed that identifies areas for development and growth with SMART Goals for each area. His Eminence will continue to work with the MSFP Steering Committee and RA throughout the year for ongoing progress reports and support.
