On Sunday, September 8, 2024, the Archons of Ecumenical Patriarchate in the Metropolis of Chicago held a religious freedom presentation on the five key issues impacting the Ecumenical Patriarchate at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in East Moline, Illinois. Keynote speaker Archon Dr. Thomas Williams led the presentation. Archon Regional Commander John G. Manos, who worked with Dr. Williams for this Religious Freedom presentation, introduced Dr. Williams and spoke during the event as well.  The event, which took place after services during coffee hour, included a question-and-answer session where parishioners asked multiple questions about the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the role of the Archons.

The Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the Metropolis of Chicago would like to thank Rev. Fr. Panayiotis Hasiakos, protopresbyter at Assumption Church, and the entire community for hosting the event. Parishes within the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago that would like to have a religious freedom presentation held at their parish can email Archon National Secretary and Archon Regional Commander Gus M.
