Live Lent

Return to Lenten Resources & Events

“As the Lord was going to His voluntary Passion, He was saying to His Apostles on the way: ‘Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man shall be delivered up, as it is written of Him.’ Come therefore, and let us accompany Him, with purified minds, and let us be crucified with Him, and for His sake mortify the pleasures of this life, that we may also live with Him.” – Idiomela from Orthros of Holy Monday

To know God is to walk with Him. Holy Week affords us the opportunity to journey with Christ from the triumphant entry into Jerusalem to the Cross and the Empty Tomb. May we heed the invitation that we have received; “Behold, the Bridegroom is coming; go out to meet Him” (Matthew 25:6). Walk with Christ this week through the liturgical services of His Church.
