On Sunday, October 19, 2025, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America invested 39 new Archons residing throughout the United States, following the Divine Liturgy at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New York City. Congratulations to our two new Archons in the Metropolis of Chicago:
· Paul G. Loupakos, Chartophylax
· James A. J. Nickolas, Esq., Hypomimneskon
Archons are honorees recognized by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for their outstanding service to the Church, and are well-known, distinguished, and well-respected leaders of the Orthodox Christian community. Those selected to serve as Archons have demonstrated a commitment greater than average toward the stewardship of time, talent and treasure, for the betterment of the Church, Parish, Diocese/Metropolis, Archdiocese and the community as a whole. They have taken an affirmation to protect and preserve the Most Holy Mother Church, our Ecumenical Patriarch, and our Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
The Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in America are recognized as one of the leading religious freedom organizations, with focus on the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
