All are invited as the Catholic and Greek Orthodox communities of greater Chicagoland join together for an ecumenical service to give thanks for God’s gift of creation and to recognize the conservation efforts of His disciples. The Vespers will be followed by a reception and lecture by Dr.Debjani Ohatalc.

A hydro-climatologist and a lecturer at the School of Environmental Sustainability, Loyola University Chicago. Her presentation is “Climate Change: Cause and Impact”. What’s the difference between natural and anthropogenic climate change? She will dig deeper into the causes of anthropogenic climate change and discuss the future projected climate change scenario for our state and country. The impacts of climate change are apparent at almost every corner of the world. We must understand our role in climate change and develop some coping strategies.
