Back to Servant Leadership Award Recipients

For more than 30 years, Catherine Poulos has been an invaluable force in the parish, spearheading leadership efforts and introducing some of our most innovative and influential programs. Her involvement began in the mid-1980s, when she volunteered to teach Sunday School. Since then she’s taught generations of students, and is currently co-director of the Sunday School program. In the mid-1990s, she chaired the team that instituted a 100% stewardship model to cover the church’s operating expenses. She is also the first convert to serve as Parish Council president. She helped initiate the Thanksgiving Day Feed the People program, taught Good Friday retreat workshops, instituted stewardship awareness efforts, led anniversary celebrations, and most recently, provided leadership for the Consecration of the Guardian Angel Chapel. She also helped establish the preschool, which has since blossomed into the Guardian Angel Day School. Her passion for serving others through Christ can be felt through her leadership efforts and her steady presence.
