Back to Servant Leadership Award Recipients

George Katsambas immigrated to Chicago in 1982 from Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), South Africa, to pursue his education at the University of Illinois. He and his wife, Cindy, married at Holy Trinity in Chicago, and together, at Holy Trinity, they baptized and raised their three children. Throughout the difficulties experienced by the parish, George has been actively working to help the community. He is an active member of the Parish Council and no job is too hard, or too dirty, for George to undertake. He steadfastly stands behind the mission that Holy Trinity will continue to move forward. His enthusiasm is contagious, and he is an exemplary steward, constantly sharing his time and talent without expecting any thanks or accolades. George has wholeheartedly embraced the challenges facing Holy Trinity, and wants to assure that the parish continues for another 120 years.
