Back to Servant Leadership Award Recipients

At 90 years young, Helen Chioles serves as an example of living your Orthodox faith for a lifetime. She has been a lifelong member of the Three Hierarchs Philoptochos, Daughters of Penelope, and All Saints’ Choir, and serves them with the same energy, humility and faith that she has for her entire life. Helen volunteers weekly to serve lunch at the homeless shelter in Joliet. She’s been the Philoptochos “Yiamas” chairman for the last 20 years, visiting and attending to the needs of our parish’s shut-ins. Helen is an ever-present volunteer whenever there is preparation, cooking, or clean up for a parish fundraising event, never shying away from hard work for the good of All Saints. She sets the bar high for what it means to serve, and never looks for recognition, which is why we are proud to name Helen Chioles as All Saints’ first recipient of the Metropolis Bronze Cross.
