Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate

The mission of the Order of St. Andrew is to defend the Ecumenical Patriarchate, which is headquartered in Constantinople, modern-day Istanbul, Turkey; promote its well-being and advancement; advance religious freedom of the Ecumenical Patriarchate; and  preserve its important role in the spiritual life of Orthodox Christians, as well as all persons of faith in the world.

Archons are distinguished and well-respected leaders of the Orthodox Christian community whose titles are bestowed by His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. With 72 Archons in the Metropolis of Chicago, under the direction of Regional Commanders Gus M. Pablecas and John G. Manos, the Metropolis of Chicago Archons are among the most active in promoting and defending the Holy and Great Mother Church.
